Day 2–Lazy Day ( 6 miles | View route )
Up around 6 am—looked like rain again. Dried off the tent inside just in case we'd be spending the day in it. Jim headed down to the lake to fish and caught a couple nice brook trout for breakfast. Julie and the dogs found a nice sand beach for some fetch and swimming. Weather cleared up so we got all of the gear into the sun to dry out before moving on. Eight people on horseback along with three pack mules passed by while we were sunning our gear at Sandpoint Lake.
A late start so hiked around 6 miles along the Fremont Trail to Lake Prue. Had rain/hail around 2pm while hiking to Lake Prue but cleared up nicely later. Saw one lone backpacker right before Pipestone Lakes. 
Found a 5–star campsite in the trees between Lake Prue and Valley Lake. Here are a couple pics of the view from our campsite that night.
